what IS this year's Competition theme?

Artificial Intelligence

Rural & Remote Healthcare

Rural and remote communities are vital to Canada’s social and economic fabric, yet they face unique healthcare challenges. Geographic isolation, limited infrastructure, clinician shortages, and long travel distances contribute to significant disparities in access and outcomes. These challenges are compounded by rising patient needs and systemic resource constraints.

Innovative solutions are urgently needed to bridge these gaps. The integration of artificial intelligence into rural and remote healthcare offers transformative potential to enhance access, optimize resource allocation, and support clinicians in delivering timely, high-quality care.

The Healthcare Innovation Challenge invites you to explore how AI can improve healthcare for rural and remote communities across Canada.
